Questions
Hiring account executives.
What does an account executive do?
An account executive owns deals from first meeting to signed contract: qualifying, presenting, negotiating and closing against a quota. In many teams, SDRs book the first meetings and AEs close.
Should our first sales hire be an AE or an SDR?
Usually an AE. A first seller needs to close, and SDRs need a working process and someone to hand meetings to. Add SDRs once your AEs have more pipeline than they can build alone.
How long does it take to hire an account executive?
We guarantee a placement within 45 days, and we fill roles in 29 days on average.
What does it cost?
Most agencies charge a percentage of the hire’s first-year pay. We charge the industry-standard rate, only when we make a placement, with no deposit. How sales recruiting fees work.

The team communicated clearly and quickly throughout the search, and their candidate presentations were well developed. I would highly recommend Sales Talent Group as a recruitment partner.
